Update on Em's Vision and Nursing School

Hey friends!! I had to finally update my blog, because I am so excited. First off after a month of hell and 3 surgeries it looks like Emma's eyes are finally becoming less dry and the plugs they put in are working. Hopefully this means we are on our way to finding a way to improve her vision. The specialist said she may not need a Corneal transplant and may just need hard contact lens. This would be such a relief. I just want my poor baby to see!!!
I also had my huge Clinical Competency check off this week. Which this huge ordeal where I had to pick a disease process out of a hat, give a oral presentation off the top of my head with no preparation, write a care plan and then draw a skill out of a hat and do that. No pressure there!!! Well, I am proud to say I passed on the first try. They may actually let me be a "real nurse" in a few weeks!!!

You might be a "real" nurse if you don't decide to change programs again. :) You wear us out, girl! Career student, always love learning! Gotta hand that to ya!
